Swoon-along!

That's right! It's a Swoon-along!

I bought the Swoon pattern a while back along with the Ruby fabric by Bonnie and Camille to make a quilt for my bed. I started cutting last week.

And while Baby Smile has been napping I started sewing the first block together.

I just love this! It's very easy to sew together! I finished the first block in one day! Which considering the amount of time that I have to dedicate to sewing these days, is pretty good!

Then today, I found a Flickr group that is doing a Swoon-along! It's basically just a sew as you can and share group, which is just perfect for me! There's nothing to fall behind in.

There are some beautiful quilts already being put together in the group and lots of talent there too!

Thank you for joining me on this new journey. I'm hoping to bring you some fabulously delicious recipes and some great sewing tutorials in this new year!
I've thought about this blog for quite some time before deciding to take the plunge and start it. I thought about what I wanted to do here, what purpose this blog would have for me and my readers and I came up with many different names and ideas. But none of them really captured what I wanted like Cook Sew Smile does. It says it all! I cook, I sew and that makes me happy so I smile!
I have another blog that I've had for a few years. I love that blog and it has lots of memories, but it kind of went in a different direction than I had originally intended.
So with this new year, I've decided that its time to start anew with my blogging adventures.
